Cleanliness Suggestions
I am associated with this Abhiyan by way of regular Swachh Abhiyaans being conducted on every Second Saturdays here at Bhubaneswar. While Cleanliness drives & Cleaning activities are good but the selfless efforts meet severe setbacks from encroachers like the RAGPICKERS,STREET URCHINS,BEGGARS etc. This community that resides unwantedly on the railway premises particularly the posh areas of the railway department namely the platform.
This very community increases the load of Filth & Rubbish onto the railway platforms thus nullifying or even multiplying the noble efforts of Selfless Cleanliness Drives & thus compounding the problem. These Ragpickers, Street Urchins Beggars even double up as Pickpockets, Opportunist Snatchers, Looters, (Looting not only the vulnerable passengers even they purposefully dismantle the railway property to sell at ChorBazaar or the Kabaadiwalas.
I would thus urge upon the Hon’ble Railway Minister to instruct the concerned at Railway platforms to sanitize the platform of this rogue community. I have observed that there is utter lack of sense of any damn responsibility on the part of the RPF or GRP. THANKS personnels to attend to this menace (not even when requested.) more

Solution to the problem is easy. Why metro stations in Calcutta, Delhi and Mumbai are clean? Any idea? Automatic gates which do not allow you to enter without tickets. Further remove the food stalls from the stations as it was an old idea when food was not available on trains. more

Mr. Kanwaljit Singh has given a true picture of terrible conditions on railway premises. The Union Railway Minister should should find effective ways to sanitize the entire area of the railway stations. more
