Cleanliness Issues at Bus Stands – Issues

1. Bus stands are very unclean
2. People urinate next to the bus stands
3. There are open drains near many bus stands creating a foul smell
4. One can see a lot of garbage all around the bus stand
5. People waiting for buses spit around the bus stand
6. Seats on the bus stands are very dirty
7. Travellers dispose plastic bags, food items etc. at bus stands
8. Tea stalls/gutkha vendors dispose their waste materials on the bus stand premises
9. During rainy season, the bus stand become open pond with no option but to face the dirt all round
10. Some bus stands are occupied by the homeless
11. Petty vendors like peanuts sellers, fruit sellers create not only chaotic situation but also create lot of garbage. more

For cleanliness at the Bus depots, the depot manager should be solely responsible. The following needs attention 1. There should be suitable boards for keeping the premises clean. 2. There should be proper and suitable baskets with plastic bags for depositing the KACHRA. 3. The baskets should be cleaned at regular intervals. 4. Proper disinfects should should also be sprayed near the W.C. etc. 5. Last but not the least any violation should be suitably dealt with. more  
Bus stand Managers should be made responsible for maintaining cleanliness and implementing strict rules . more  
Some of the Bus stands are very unclean & people waiting for buses split around the area.Also some bus stands are occupied by the homeless several times. more
