Citizen - Municipal Engagement for Swachh Bharat

As outlined by many of you in the Swachh Bharat 2 year and city survey, we are requesting municipal officials to engage with the respective local circles of Swachh Bharat.

If you have specific ideas on how you propose the municipal officials of your city/area should engage via the Swachh local circle of your city/area, please do share.

Also, do remember to do your bit for Swachh Bharat tomorrow on the 2nd anniversary and share pictures of any action you take (small or big)

It was a non important function for local body authorities. Lack of interest is clearly visible. more
Municipal officers do not come out of their AC rooms to see the ground reality. I am staying in sector 22 Dwarka New Delhi. Roads are strewn with filth and garbage. MCD does not lift for days together even after persuasions. Dry leaves etc are not removed on the plea that this is to be done by Horticulture dept. whose people are not seen at all. No adequate infrastructure like transport vehicles are available. For whole of sector 22 only one transport vehicle is deployed for garbage removal as told by the vehicle driver. With this attitude how we can expect Swachh Bharat for which public pays cess. Really a sorry state. Adequate infrastructure, proper planning and implementation is need of the hour. It will not be exaggeration to say that in Delhi simple politics between Delhi Govt. and MCDs has deteriorated the cleanliness. more
I think Mumbai Municipality has become very big to physically manage it.Best thing is to divide it in to three Municipalities i.e 1)For Island city 2)Western Suburb and 3)Central Suburb. more
A lot of information is flowing thru news and other electronic media.Municiple in charge should go thru it and while travelling should keep an eye on road and observe themselves. They have to pull their socks and have will power to do the things instead of doing politics and Chamchagiri. more
Yes , where the Cess money is flowing? The Municipal officers are just lazy and useless. They never care for the Nation. more
