While a car pool is a great step in the right direction I believe we should not overlook the benefits of the metro. It will save money, gives independence of timings, saves time and will contribute to a healthy environment with less vehicles on the roads. Unfortunately there seems to be status turmoil in the mind sets of the educated/ middle class when it comes to the use of metro. This is a great pity that full benefit of the thousands of criores spent on this infra is not being reaped by society. more
