Cancer drugs margin capping
Efforts of the LocalCircles and its members in the last decade are bearing fruits now.
Today NPPA has done trade margin capping on 100+ cancer drugs.
Attached is the list of meds. And good thing is its capped at 30%
They should now cap all drugs at 50% or max 100% more

This is just tip of ice berg. Markets are flooded with fake and sub standard medicines, medical accessories which carry highly inflated MRPs. There is need to check the efficacy and prices of all medical items available at retail medical shops. There is deep nexus between fraud medicine/accessories manufacturers and medical staff. It is a broad day light robbery. Central and State governments must wake up. more

it is surprising that SC had to act and make govt take a decision which th e present govt could have done by itself and not wait for SC to tell them what to do. sc more

Drugs are not a choice; they are essential for health, and this should not have become a money-printing industry. Ultimately, who is paying for the essentials- we, the customers? Is it our fault that anyone in the family falls sick and we become easy prey for the predators? It's inhuman to charge an unreasonable amount to the poor folks who become the victims. The price of all drugs, irrespective of the type of disease, should be capped at 20 - 30%, nothing more. Because the moment it goes beyond a certain percentage, the loot begins.
