Can Govt give relief on fuel prices

Crude Oil prices back to 52 week lows

Even if we take INR depreciation into account they are down substantially over the last 12 months also.

Fuel price cuts are a direct stimulus and also reduces inflation across the board.

Why is the government so adamant on not passing on price declines to consumers?

Can LC manager escalate this to PM FM ? more

Never can market determined prices factor in the environmental costs. Good that fuel prices are high. And diesel pollution? Subsidised diesel enriched the rich car companies through induced cheap diesel dependant car purchases and making out with the future of our environment and lives. Petrol engine vehicles still are optimised with their multipoint fuel injection systems and petrol being many times cleaner petroleum distillate than diesel! Think about the masses on the roads breathing in that air and facing asthma or other breath related medical problems. https://www.dailypioneer.com/2025/columnists/the-global-race-for-resources-in-the-arctic.html "Diesel vehicles, open biomass burning and the use of high-fuel oil for engine propulsion in shipping are the largest global sources of black carbon, which consists of pure carbon in many linkages and is produced by incomplete combustion of fossil fuel and biomass by wildfires." more
Presently the biggest problem for both centre and state Govt is the expenses on FREEBEES. This will reduce our Infrastructure Budget and many a schemes where prices can be reduced on like Patrol and Diesel. The time has come when Supreme Court has to intervene and STOP all FREEBEES. This is the total misuse of Tax Payer's Money. more
If ancient environment be here again we will opt for cart, cycle or horse to travel. more
Has anyone seen the consequences of this unbridled use of fossil fuel driven vehicles. Instead all the people who constantly grumble should pressurise the government to increase passenger friendly public transport. Do you know how much harm is caused by all the private vehicles emitting so much of the toxic waste? Ultimately, by subsidising petrol prices, the health of the common man is compromised severely. Think about it. more
