Call drop report of LocalCircles

Is very revealing
https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/call-drop-survey-2025

It says 89% people of this country face call connection and drop issues.

I am a victim of the same. In greater Noida none of my contacts can reach me on VI network (supposedly best network in NCR) and they have to call me on whatsapp.

Why is the regulator TRAI failing to hold telcos accountable. We all know sold out print media would compromise such news in favour of full page ads from these telcos. People should stop reading english papers. more

Our population and the increasing demand, outstrips resources of telecom operators. The quality of service varies by location. I would still say that things are better than a few years ago. However, operators do have bad pockets all across the country where their services do not work well. We have chosen cost over quality and this is a trade-off from that decision as the necessary balancing telecom hardware is just not there. No wireless service can boast of 100% coverage in any country. This has nothing to do with new technologies which are also operating only in some pockets, while the technology assets could be even 20 years old in some places and tweaked using jugaad to render service. My take is that MTNL and BSNL are virtually dead. Vi (Vodafone) is a laggard and a failed service in most parts of the country. Only Airtel and Jio seem to have higher coverage than most. Jio technology is 4G and upwards so if the mobile hardware is 3-5 year old, there would be challenges in some places. Moreover, most operators share network infrastructure in many parts of the country and those could get choked as demand keeps outstripping supply. There are other issues like power backups and maintenance of towers which is not the best. more
On one hand govt talks of 5 /6g such high sounding words but ground reality is that we do not get phone calls when inside the house and we have to come outside to connect to the call and that also in Bangalore Airtel is atrocious here and call dropping is common and TRAI are sleeping in their posh offices and enjoying fat salaries for doing nothing .Looks like trai are part of the nexus of the mafia nexus. more
Jio service is also deteriorating. TRAI should get activated to solve the problem of call drops of all service providers more
Same with me as Mr Anil Chandok. It seems that i hve will have to move away from VI. more
Is it really very new in this regime, once the service provider feels comfortable not improving the quality of service, why he will take extra pain. He is in safe one as big brother blessing is for him. TRAI now became an idle shop. So bear it till we are not gaining a strength to reshape the system and practice. more
