As railway minister has issued time limit of 120 days for advance booking of long term trains, it is totally of no use.
How a person or family can plan for family trip or any other occassion before 4 months, 120 days for advance booking it is a total nonsense thing.

To curb ticket less journey, Ticket checkers should be more vigilant. General coaches are so crowded that TC do not dare to enter. Three months Advance reservation was quite , shifting to two month/ four months period is unless exercise. Railway may get more cancellation money by keeping it four months. more

All it amounts to is that you are not a person who goes about long-term planning. I do. (When I was posted in Ahmedabad in 1987, all my colleagues said that if anybody wanted to know my travel plans for the next 6 months, all they had to do was to look for the chit in my wallet and even a ticket as soon as the advance booking opened). You may not know, Germans plan for the next 4 years. more
