BIS must get going on locL body standards
Yesterday in rajya sabha in parliament, the consumer protection bill was approved. In the debate multiple mps said that doca must have standards for urban local bodies and how they deliver services.

Introduction and approval of a bill is not enough. One has to wait amd see as to how the concerned bodies proceed and the extent of their sincerety. more

BIS can extend to all that is new in ISO and include guide lines for security aspects of business. more

Standards are not defined for govt bodies or it near to impossible to change working style of govt organisation. more
