Beware of unknown callers

A cousin of mine got the most elaborate scam call this morning from someone posing as police saying her details were used to create bank accounts and launder money. The caller had a fake case number, a police station name, invited her to record the call when she called it a scam…the caller was very detail oriented.

Sharing this so people in LocalCircles beware of such callers. more

Through true caller app, we can filter scam/fraudulent calls. Generally, it is better to avoid calls from unknown numbers especially senior citizens. Surprisingly, through whatsapp, I have been receiving international calls, of course, I don't entertain such calls and at the same time blocking them immediately. Government should take immediate action. Founders Meta, of whatsapp must initiate action to filter such calls similar to true caller app. more
