Annual Passengers Travelling by Railways

FY04-14: 510cr => 840Cr (+65% in 10yrs)

FY14-FY23: 839cr => 698cr (-17% over 10yrs)

FY23 Railway Passengers = FY09 (14 yr Low) more

Sri Mishra might help by informing us the source of this data. You are not able to get tickets in any of the trains running in the South. A casual look at the reservation website informs us of the same thing in all sectors of Indian Railways. What does this mean? Sri Mishra might like to throw some light on this subject. more
