Aviation minister is failing to resolve airfare loot

After the Localcircles survey below there was a post stating aviation minister has acted on restraining airlines from engaging in last minutee fare loot.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/airline-fare-cap

Even the Govt did a press release on it that fares are down by 60% and some of the pro Govt media claimed it to be the truth.

See attached everyone. Airlines dont give a shit about what the mantri says. For Delhi Bangalore flights they want 16666 as one way fare.

Serious shame on english print media of this country which fails to highlight the plight of people. Some of them look like to be on payroll of airlines.

Since aviation minister is failing flat on this issue will the consumer affair minister act? more

What does it mean that educate yourself. When the ATF, airport charges remains unchanged including wages to staff, what they are charging is not reasonable. It is the greed or monopoly. And I am being taught about market driven prices. Do we have any really? In any sector? I suggest that we should take a balanced view and it is a perfect looting of passengers by airlines. It is true of Telecom, DTH, fuel prices etc. Where are the market forces?/ more
what is the role of Aviation minister here ? & what educated peoples are making such comments & write up ? If few Students are not doing well what is the fault of the teacher ? It is their question of capability . more
Last minute ticket fares are always more than when you book early in most democratic countries. However one can debate, whether the surge price can be capped 2X or 3X of average fares and whether any exception can be made for serious illness or death (with a reliable proof) On 17-Jun-2023 10:05 am, Rohini Sahni wrote: more
