Availability of 2000 and 500 rupee notes

Per the way LocalCircles poll on usage of 2000 rupee note is trending, it appears that majority of the citizens are saving these notes for critical need or emergency. Also, majority of the citizens have not seen the new 500 rupee note.

We would like to seek your qualitative experiences on the usage, availability and acceptance of these notes.

We look forward to your inputs and will share a collective report with the Government so if any steps can be taken to reduce hoarding, increase the availability of 500 rupee notes and ease the cash crunch, they are implemented at the earliest. more

indirectly govt is saying go cashless , weightless more
The whole ball game is about politicians, big corporates, financial institutions and people related to finance includings bankers. All these people had their share of the currency notes of their choice whether to spend or to hoard or to sell on fat commission. And even after people like us who suffer due to their actions, will still praise them and elect them again and again. Its high time educated people stopped living in a fool's paradise created by our politicians and the government. more
We have withdrawn money 4 times. So far no 500 Rs note. First mainly Rs 2000 notes very difficult to exchange for daily grocery or vegetable and fruit purchases more
RAM SINGH Complete mockery of honest people in a Democracy - why is political parties / politicians distinguished from ordinary citizen ? Mr PM , who is first for the Country, Citizen or Party / Politicians more
The scheme announced by the Govt. was in good intention. The Bankers are there to defeat the intention of the Govt. They were actually helping the manipulators, black money holders, rather than the common public. Till date i have not seen the 500 RS. note despite the RBI announcement that it is in circulation. This is applicable to Chennai and Bengaluru. The Bankers are not helping neither the Govt nor the public. In my opinion the Private Banks are better placed on this count. Govt should rethink on the implementation part and initiate suitable action. we are not able to get any small denomination notes from Bankstill date. When city dwellers like me are undergoing such ordeals we need not tell about the Rural folks. more
