Automatic Ticket cancellation be done

If train cancels or instead of starting point it starts from other stations in a route than ticket of starting point or from where it will not pass should be automatically treated as canceled & need not to fill TDR this is to be applied. refund of the same is sent to the bank account, if the ticket purchased from IRCTC. more

Reasonable request but it is very difficult to implement. IRCTC is a separate organisation and as such it has to receive information from concerned Railway Zone. There-after, it has to manually cancel tickets of passengers who could not have traveled in the train. It becomes more difficult when the original starting point or destination point or changed. The present software may not be suitable for such odd cancellations. If this is left to IRCTC, it may result in more grievances until the software is made suitable. more
