Assembly Elections in GURGAON

Would like my friends to post their views on the forthcoming election, which party or candidate to support and why more

if we can come together we can put up a candidate to represent our segment of the society, as all the political parties are looking at allotting tickets to locals with money bags, without a care about vision and competence of the candidate more
Dear Aiyyer, I was not aware that 65% votes of Gurgaon are from residents like us. In that case we can certainly try to vote for a like minded candidate. Bhaskar Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel more
Dear Mr. Bhaskar, I am in total agreement with you, however if one looks at the voter's distribution in Gurgaon Constituency there is a total of 65% voters from areas covered by the apartments and plotted area, only problem is we as a voter are not organised as most of us are busy with our career's and time constraint does play a negative role in making us use of our numbers in the right manner on the voting day. But am sure we can organise ourself into a organised group analyse the present senario and support the right candidate collectively, making an impact in this election, do give your opinion on the suggestion. Regards Radhakrishnan T R Aiyyer more
Dear Mr. Aiyyer, I am responding to your post because it is very relevant and an important issue. Who should we vote for in the coming state assembly elections? My answer is simple. It does not really matter. Because the no of voters like you and me are a miniscule fraction. The focus of all the political parties is on the weaker sections. The politicians are neither pursuing our votes nor any govt will look after the interest of the educated tax paying upper classes. The tax payers' money goes to subsidize the poor people. But this is nothing new. It is all over the world. They don't even come canvassing in your area or mine. So, I suppose, the only criterion that we should look for in a candidate whom we select is "Honesty", irrespective of his party. It is a rare commodity amongst the political class these days, but there are still a few. The other thing we could do, if we find such a candidate, is to spread awareness through the social media. If we get an honest legislator, there is some hope for the future. Bhaskar Chatterjee DLF Phase-V, Gurgaon Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel more
