Are we undercounting COVID-19 deaths?

Many of you via the circle survey shared the number of individuals you have lost in your social networks to COVID-19. Also, you shared the extent of COVID suspect deaths and Covid accelerated deaths in your social networks. Below is the link to the survey report which points to the fact that India's Covid-19 death count may likely be understated due to a variety of reasons. .

Do share the same via whatsapp and your social media. We would like all states to count Covid-19 deaths accurately and the Central Government to build a centralised death registration system. If the same is done, India will be better positioned in many many ways in the future. more

To demand credibility of the Govt in health care understatement of numbers, diverting to co-morbidity were done and is going on. more  
Since I do not know much about this issue, I cannot comment. How does one know about these things unless they are officially in that position. more  
All over the world only COVID hospital deaths are reported. In USA, no matter how a person dies at home or hospital, the dead body cannot be cremated or buried without taking the body first to hospital and obtain permission to cremate/bury a dead body. In our country, it is not possible due to costs and logistics reasons. more
