Are we really transforming india under Modi? more

Re: Meat sale / slaughter ban. A retrograde step for India. As a secular country, interference from Governments in religious affairs is contrary to the Constitution, whether it is pro or anti. Jainism is not some new, radical religion. It has existed in India, quite happily, for thousands of years, while meat eating went on around them. What has changed? Hindus don't eat meat on certain days and certain periods. Why the sudden need to involve other people in their religious observances? Can the Muslims demand that restaurants should close during Ramzan? Can the Christians ask that meat be not eaten on Fridays? The Sikhs can ask for vegetarianism on Guru Purab? This is a return to the Dark Ages, where religious observances of any community supersedes democratic freedoms. more

We need to focus on core problems rather than pleasing some communities for votes, let the work done translate into votes, petty agenda's like banning meat and other which is more like controlling family should be avoided, don't antogonise citizen, improve the infrastructure, make cities safe, MOST important build trust of people with Police and improve or start the training for all police including officers as to how to talk with the citizen. I would like to see posters which directs to police to improve their speech with citizen rather than posters of politicians. Improve education in villagers so that they understand how a good customs corrupts the whole world. more
