The persons keeping pet dogs are not following the rules. They are liable to be charged if their dog bites or injures any body. A complaint can be filed with the Police. We had a case in our building and the dog owner who was arrogant initially begged for compromise. more
Yes. But nothing can be done about it. Dog lovers and our laws are against doing anything to the dog more
During Covid even pet dogs have become stray dogs as the Owner probably passed away or unwell and could not manage the pets . Thereby the number of strays also increased and these new stray dogs are not welcomed by the territorial dogs and the fights between them also increased, leading to more aggressive behaviour amongst strays . Further the places where there are too many non-veg wastes being dumped also attracts dogs and can be a dangerous place. Capturing strays and killing them is not a solution as every being has a right to live . more
The stray dogs and pet dogs attack are rising due to how feeders and owners are careless about their keeping and compliance to regulatory requirements are ignored. Further, the training and breed matters while pet dog population rising, the necessary awareness about their upkeep is totally being missed. more
Pet dog: Exhibition of violence may be the way he/she is raised/trained, and so it is the owner that is responsible for the dog's actions. Are there laws in India to make a dog-owner accountable for the pet's actions??? Dog's violence may also be due to being spayed, or neutered. Stray dog: The dog probably feels it has been unfairly treated to become a stray dog. A good way to recover the stray dog from it's malaise is for to people to adopt it. The other, NOT preferred, is to capture and euthanize it, and this is horrible. more
