There was some interest generated in this technology because it is home grown. But apparently whatsapp prevailed.
I have a suggestion to Zoho people to add value to Arattai users in India so as to pull in more users. They can introduce some India specific symbols and GIFs. Like sacred Indian symbols like namaste, Jai Sri Ram greetings, touching feet of elders, ashirwads, family values, various types of Indian temples and Vimanas, Sree chakra, swastika in Indian style, om etc.. I am sure we can think of many more. more

Adding India's unique features may help and would be nice. WA is still widely used. There is always inertia to move to similar apps. None of the few WA groups I am in have migrated to ai. more

Arattai initially gained interest as a home-grown Indian alternative to WhatsApp, but it lost momentum due to the strong network effect of WhatsApp, lack of major differentiators, limited marketing, and weak ecosystem integration. However, Zoho can still revive Arattai by repositioning it as a secure communication platform for workplaces, schools, RWAs, and government bodies, with deep Zoho integration and India-focused features. Instead of competing with WhatsApp in general messaging, Arattai should become a purpose-driven, India-first communication infrastructure — a niche that global apps cannot easily dominate. more

Tried it was useless. Any time netas in power touch an app run away because it never works. more
