Air India crash investigation report is lame

A very poor AI171 report submitted by AAIB
.
Which aircraft part is at what location, distance and direction are mentioned in detail.

BUT
.
Important information like, time stamps of
1) pilot conversations
2) RAT deployment (not when it began supplying)
3) first instance of Fuel control switch(FCS) transition.
4) what did pilots converse for 10 sec when FCS were toggled from Cut off to RUN ?

AAIB has all the info, but chooses to hide it from public.

Lots of basic errors as well. FADEC full form incorrect in OFFICIAL reports.

This report looks like an eyewash. more

It’s disheartening that such incidents continue to occur while our government, despite having access to digital and AI-assisted tools, still seems to be groping in the dark. more
There is a huge cover up seen. There was a mention by the survivor of a blast and lights going off during takeoff. This angle has not been pursued. There is a physical impossibility in the 1 Second time duration mentioned for both switches getting on . That has not been tested. There is a huge possibility that the fuel has crashed because of a sabotage of the fuel system with a timer bomb or through the software which has earlier been operated by a Turkish company. This is also ignored. This looks like a report to just let Boeing off the hook . On Sat, Jul 12, 2025, 8:26 PM Ruchika L Maheshwari < support@localcirclesmail.com> wrote: > more

Can a simple flip of a switch crash an aircraft? Simple answer: No. Why? Because in a modern aircraft like the Boeing 787, it’s not that straightforward. The fuel cutoff switch doesn’t directly cut fuel. It sends a command to the engine’s control system — FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control). FADEC then decides what to do based on multiple parameters: engine status, altitude, airspeed, fire detection, system health, etc. There are complex interlocks, logic sequences, and protections built in. Even if someone flips the switch mid-air, the system should reject it unless multiple emergency conditions are met (fire, smoke, serious fault, etc.). So if both engines really shut down mid-flight just because the switches were flipped, either: • The system protections failed, or • The system was designed to allow that ,and that’s a design issue, not just “manual error.” And here’s the most important point: We are not here to blame anyone or point fingers. If there’s a flaw in the flight control logic or system behavior, it needs to be properly analyzed and modified ,not buried. Millions of people fly every day. Nobody deserves to become a victim because someone wanted to protect Boeing’s image by shifting media focus. Please, let’s have the conversation where it really matters ,in engineering, safety, and accountability. Credits: An aeronautics friend. more
