Thank you for your participation in the poll on India Cleaning at Night. The same has also been widely covered in media. We request each and every member of the circle to share the attached ohoto with their whatsapp, facebook and other social networks.

In addition to efforts by Swachh Bharat Mission, we will need your significant support as it requires actions from citizens and local municipal bodies.

Sir, i am from a village near by Hyderabad in a labour colony. Sweepers will come to seep a part of main road and the street where local leaders stay. On one side of our village where i stay are mostly migrants and no body questions they will not come even once in a week. After a great fight with panchayat they started coming once in a week if they have no other jobs assigned to them. This is our swchha bharat more

Don't be surprised when these 90% who voted "for", start complaining about it when it actually starts in action. more
Night cleaning of cities was in practice in Mumbai in 1940s. I do not know when and why the practice has been discontinued. However I understand, from a co-passenger during a train journey, that as late as when NTR was C.M. of A.P. the practice was in vogue in Hyderabad city. Some of the advantages are highlighted below: 1. Roads/ area are free from obstructions/ traffic – vehicular as well as pedestrians to cleaning. 2. Minimum no. of persons is exposed to dust raised etc. 3. Certain amount of watch is kept in area. They should be asked to give a vigilance report also. 4. Persons going for morning walk get clean air to breath. 5. They should be asked to report occupation of Govt./ corporation/municipality land as well as footpaths etc. Leaving garbage outside in container is a problem. New areas developed with flat system there should be a garbage bins floor along with Parking or at -1. First we must decide if this is to be done and if the answer is yes we should systematically find problem/ obstruction and solve/ overcome that. There should be no garbage vehicle/ garbage cleaning personnel on the street between 5 A.M. and 11 P.M. On Sat, 06 Aug 2016 08:48:37 +0530 "Swachh Bharat Mission" wrote > more
Let the funds collected through Swetchha Bharat Cess be spend for cleaning. Around 3200 crores have since been collected. On the other hand out of 6000 crores earmarked for River Ganga cleanness an amount of more than 3000 has already been spent without no much progress in the cleanliness. more
