Yesterday, while going thru the metro access
control gates, my 3.5 yr old daughter was caught right in the middle & the flap barrier hit her on the face (cheeks & temple region) from both sides.
I immediately massaged the region & later, on reaching home, again messaged the area with some almond oil. Though she is fine & not complaining of any pain or discomfort, is there any need to take her to the doctor. Experts / Parents pls advise.

I had experienced the same thing. I got hurt over my hip bones and that was very painful, I was unable to walk at that moment. Cold compress helped me but I also went for an X-ray, which was normal though. But in your case she is very small and the area is also sensitive as no fat deposits are there. Dr Nitin is right, you observe her carefully and if pain or swelling persist see a doc. more

Whenever there is an injury you should do a cold compress, this decreases the swelling and pain. If she has no discomfort it is better to observe her rather than rush to your doctor. more
