Local Authorities need to prepare a proper blueprint keeping a the in mind the needs of 20-30 years down the line and execute that plan sector to sector. They could target 2 sectors in a year depending upon the availability of funds. Patch work would not help at all. By doing we are wasting our money and resources.
Some of the things what could be done as part of the overhauling are as under
underground electrical wiring - this would save in 40% of the transmission losses, which is an extra burden on we residents in terms of electricity bills. Electrical wires hanging in open is dangerous and contributing towards transmission losses.
We should proper electrical metering system so that whatever load is being sanctioned to a household if any body trying to extract more then the sanctioned load the meter should trip automatically. That ways we could do proper load calculation for each transformer and each sector.
Road infra with proper drainage system with monthly maintenance audit. Normally it has been seen that Govt is builds the infra for once and there is nobody responsible to maintain it.
Proper street lights with weekly audit
Water treatment plant for each sector so that same water could be used gardening, washing etc.
Segregation of waste at the level of residents, so that it could recycled properly and help in curbing pollution levels.
WiFi connectivity for the sector
Cleanliness with proper daily audit and report to be submitted
One good Govt school in each sector which is comparable with any good pvt school.
Parks have to be maintained properly - we should have a team of 5-10 people employed for each park. There are so many unemployed youth that ways you are maintaining your parks and people getting employment and helping the economy to boost

All basic services that are the domain of the municipality - smooth durable roads, regular stable electricity supply, sewerage of reliable quality, pedestrian facilities, and special consideration for senior citizens, that would continue to allow for secure mobility. Safety of women, thru develoment of self defence skills, specially in schools and colleges, increase in numbers of women police that they are visible enough to inspire confidence. The suggestion to undertake improvements in 2or 3 sectors at a time, is practicable too. Only it would lead to intersectoral squabbles !!- more

THe ramp in front of the gate destroys any pedestrian path. The drive way should slope from within the house and come to road level at the gate itself. more

There should be proper HUDA guild-lines for development of place outside - like ramp and adjacent area. Some people do plant trees, some people would put grass, some people make it concrete to use it for parking purpose - it leads to chaos. Also for ramps ( area in front of the gate) there should proper guildlines as part of the completion certificate. This would help in maintaining the uniformity and beautification in the residential colonies. more

No open dumping of building material. Will make gurgaon cleaner. Systemisation of water tax, property tax collection. Gurgaon should use it software speciality population to do this. Charge car parking tax from residents. Street lights. Improve tax collection, revenue generation, plug seepage of the same. First control waste, Next clean roads, open spaces and parks. Plant trees. Encourage residents to have more plants in their houses. Have neighbourhood water treatment and sewage waste treatment plant. more

Considering that current competence within local authorities and even district administrations does not extend beyond thinking 20-30 days ahead, blueprint for 20-30 months, let alone 20-30 years is just day dreaming. Much training ands systemic innovations are urgently required at all levels of local govts. more
