CREDAI Kochi had introduced CleanCity Movement encouraging builders and resident associations of apartment complexes to install bio-bins at the cost of around ₹55000/- to service 40 families. This system is working extremely well in more than 400 apartment complexes with no bio degradable organic waste leaving the apartment buildings. Entire waste is converted into manure within the premise itself. Plastic waste is collected by CREDAI and pulverised to be used for road tarring. more

It's good movement, should be implemented in all cities. more
Please give details of the Bio Bins. guptabharuch@gmail.com Form a Local Circle in your city " PROFESSIONALS FOR CITY" .to replace politicians by Professionals in Civic Boy. Form groups of 4 to 10 persons in each ward and select a good well educated person to be the representative of that ward in next civic election. At present we don’t bother for Municipal elections, we just put our stamp on a candidate selected by Politicians. On the contrary people of the area should choose an honest well educated person and talk about him in your Ward. Let him contest and Win the election. When such persons will sit in Civic Body...you get answer to your concern. more
please provide more details of the bio bins project. It can be implemented in other societies too. May be the cost can also be brought down by more inputs and suggestions from experts or the administration. more
