120 days of Swachh Bharat - Your Inputs

Dear all:

All of you had given inputs on 1 month of Swachh Bharat Mission.

As the 4 months have gotten over since launch of Swachh Bharat Mission, we would like to seek your inputs on state of things.

Please share what is working and what is not working as far as the mission goes. This include cleanliness, garbage management, local municipal/agencies engagement, new and public toilets construction and maintenance.

We will compile your inputs and share with the Hon'ble Minister and our leadership so any necessary actions can be taken to strengthen the mission and position it for better results.

We look forward to your inputs!

I don't see much of an impact in Bangalore after the launch of Swachh Bharat Mission. Littering public places is a concern of priority, and to tackle that active programs to create awareness among the citizens are warranted. It is a common sight of people throwing things out of their cars to the road without even the slightest of guilty consciousness. It won't work until that sense of cleanliness is created in everyone from within. Think the local government has to come forward with active measures to tackle this problem. An effective waste management system is also crucial. more
Respect workers of this trade don maltreat them simple more
To achieve a clean road, mud on the sides of the road should be covered either by concrete sidewalk or by grass. Dust flying when vehicles pass is the biggest reason for dusty roads, dusty homes. more
In our locality is the office of Delhi Jal Board, where water is wasted in 1000's of litres of every day and spoils the roads and thus creating unhealthy living conditions. more
I have seen the installation of Green Toilets in the city. But people do follow old habits instead of using these. We have to think of increasing the awareness to make it successful. more
