India is facing a severe problem of encroachment in small and also in big cities. In the cities, those areas where people are making new houses, builders dump stones, sand, bricks on the road making it narrow and prone to accidents apart from traffic jams which is a health hazard. This goes on with the connivance of the local authorities and police. Encroachment on roads makes vehicles to move slow and that time they cause more pollution compare to the vehicle moving at the speed of 40-50 kms.
My suggestion is that after removing the encroachment, the SO of the local police station should be held accountable. He should ensure that encroachment does not reoccur. more

Sir, Thankfully acknowledged. Regards, Kapur more
Sir, the present way of urban development in India is not sustainable. The immediate steps to be taken up by the GoI (Urban Development) is to initiate radical reforms in the Urban Planning. The minimum width of roads even in the poor settlements are needed to be planned keeping in view the future 100yrs like in USA. The main lapse in urban development is, very very poor and bad performance of the town planning wings in the respective ULBs. They should be held accountable for all these traffic problems. thanks for rising a good subject. more
The local authorities/concerned official of the area will be immediately accountable for the act and the superior officer has to supervise the things. If Officers are made accountable without favour the things will come to normal nobody will do any encroachment. more
I fully agree with the points raised above. Then what is the solution? more
Traffic is a major role in moving goods/Social issues like ambulance service. I think that there is no law if we delay the ambulance service or other important services. We need this type of strict rules so that no anybody dump the life of other or general social life. Its reduces the petrol cost and make many more social easier. more
