MCG/HUDA may be fencing the land belonging to them but we do not know what it has been identified for in the
town planners layout. In case it is identified as green land, it can and must be converted into a green/forest area
Actually town planner must plan decentralized green areas in each sector and must provide lungs for citizens to breathe in concrete jungles.
All roads must be planned to have massive green belts on its sides and center and have provision for free flow of rain water on roads to green patches which will have multiple benefits such as prevent water logging and increase life of roads, reduce traffic jams, allow percolation of rain water on roads to ground and help arrest falling ground water table. A paradigm shift in mind set of town planners and implementing agencies can bring vital environmental changes and help pollution control, reduce ambient temperature by at least 3-4 degrees more

I am agree with you Mr Pawan kaushal Gurgaon needs Road side plantation in side the sector and out side of sector more
The Town Planners, and going up to top leadership, is utterly, completely divorced from reality. The "swung" into action to dress up Gurgaon for the "Happening Haryana" summit. Khajur (Date) Palms were planted on road medians. These provide zero shade, but it is far beyond their brains to comprehend that. They put "jali" tiles on pavements, these allow water to seep through and recharge ground water. But the brilliant brains underlaid these with concrete to prevent water from going through. No ground water recharge, and the rain water will collect on the roads. These guys are simians, the kind who formed Ram's army. more
Gentlemen : One respects you deeply for raising issues of this nature. Yes, there has been some interest & concern in the system that rules us all. BUT, like most other issues that have a critical or an immediate bearing on the qualty of life (for the rich or poor), our politicians and the bureaucracy leave most jobs/tasks HALF DONE. i am in Gurgaon as of 20 years; the tale remains half-done. Touch any area of community service-- by statute or as an add on either 1/4 or 1/2 done jobs are visible, all the time. i will avoid identifying each of them. Why ? This note will then be composed only of those undone jobs, Sire ! Rivalry between 'rich' HUDA & "lowly" MCG, off-the-cuff decision making by our Panchkula masters & then follow through by the Commissioners here, completes the cause of the half-done tasks. May be, urbanisation in our massive India is suffering all of that; but, here our concern is GURGAON. Robbers come in day time in top colonies (DLF Phase I) and carry away whatever they knew they could take away--that is one type of service "the system" provides you and me...! A "jhakkar" or two followed by some rain ends in eternally unculled tree branches damaging the electric wires and homes + shops remain without any power for 2-4 to 24 hours w/o power. i am NOT exaggerating. Yes, we have a back-up system with our generator which gets the power on track within 30 seconds. But all of that at back-breaking costs--not counting the hundreds, nay thousands of diesel smoke spewing pollution all over in this fine city--once upon a time. Peacocks and peahens used to come to our park areas or on top of our homes. Bandhwari garbage ground is NOT functioning for 3 years, NO bus service at all, traffic jams on all crossings, people driving wrong side, thousands of 3-wheelers BUT no meters, and so on. Seen a police man or the one who speaks for the law and for you and me...? Very rare indeed. The life of the MCG is over on/about 20 th June--- no one has announced any elections nor what civic services are owed to you and me. One fears the events like what 8 cities and towns suffered in FEBRUARY last. Water supply too very openly was cut and so on. We as Citizens have to decide upon what key basic minimum Urban Basic Services the State, and the MCG must provide the 2 million who live here. There are many among us prepared to pay a Re or 2 (per sq yd even) more than the current rates, BUT the system and its blue-eyed thekkedaars will still NOT come through. You will say i am pessimistic -- that i should be like our Youth whose Bharat nay India we live in! Fine i say; Sire, WHERE ARE THEY ? i may sound off-course, gentlemen. Would love to know what is " on course" in our Gurgaon or Gurugram and am prepared to work, contribute and get educated in my soon to be my 83 rd year here.......! Yes, friends matters are that bad. devinder chopra/ UN retiree (house was burgled twice over in 2 winters, the system and multi-storied building wallahs broke into our plotted areas to make their IN & OUT w/o our sanction --we took them to H. Court and won out...my life's story in Gurgaon !) more
No body listen in authority if some one is grab g HUDA land more
Dear Pawan, Yes we totally agree.  Just behind our Houses (total 11 ) H.No.741- 753 Sector 4 Gurgaon was a Green Belt in original plan  to separate Residential Area and Playing Field of Maru Mal School. But outgoing JE -HUDA allowed encroachment over it. School has just now in Feb-Apr 2016 constructed a wall with deep foundations to erect Building with designs of eating away the Green Belt. It is essential MCG erects a Barbed wire to separate 3 meter lane between Residential houses and Marumal School Sector 4 and save this Green Belt. Col S N Malhotra9811384568 From: Pawan Kaushal To: sam_smokeless@yahoo.co.in Sent: Tuesday, 14 June 2016 11:15 AM Subject: New post "MCG/HUDA may be fencing t..." in [Residents of GURGAON] more
