There was a change in the slab system for electricity charges as per news report appearing in Oct. 2015 and as a result of which higher charges charged by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitrana Nigam (DHBVN) w.e.f 1st April 2015 was to be refunded by the company to the customers whose electricity meter reading exceeded 500 units per month and was charged on a single slab rate. Please check whether those customers have been refunded or adjusted with the excess amount charged or not. more

We have been noting the meter reading everyday. Kept a record also expecting some problems when the bill was not coming on time. Thetefore, we know that the reading shown as Sept is actually end October. It is a fraud of some sort. But unfortunately our personal reading diary cannot be used as a proof. Regards more

@Smita Jana and I hope other customers must also have been facing the same unethical practices. Please request other customers also to make a similar complaint. I would appreciate if the copy of the complaint is forwarded to enable me to consolidate the case and put up to their head office as well as other concerned Authorities. It is definitely an unethical business practices and need to be stopped. more

@Smita Jana, The meter reading has been shown as on 25/06/2015 to 25/08/2015 which is 61 days consumption. In case you feel that the reading has been taken in Sept. 2015 but shown as on 25/08/2015, there is a complaint against meter reader and SDO of the area has to ensure FIR against the reader. In case SDO does not get FIR registered, he himself is liable for punishment. The main question would arise how would you prove that the reader has done such an action. Nevertheless you may complain to the SDO for such irregularities more

My point is that the meter reading for almost 3 months has been considered for 2-month slabs. The slab units should have been considered for 3 months. That's the catch.
