Let SOP of Railway catering be made public.
It is not an easy task in the present circumstances to improve the quality overnight yet let us compel Railway to make some improvements. Passengers will have to fight with Railway to force improvements.
The Railway should public the SOP of the all food items served by it, clearly disclosing :
1. The process of preparation of all items;
2.Material used to prepare such items , providing minute details as to Which oil is used in place of vegetable oils,
3.Time Gap between preparation and ultimate supply of items.
4. The process amd material should be verified and approved by CFTRI or FSSAI.
Our Indian ladies will immediately find out any deviation from such SOP and will compel Railway to book their dear Partners Caterers.
Strict legal action must be taken immediately by ministry directly against the company providing food services including heavy penalty so that a passengers feel that yes he is really contribution towards building a corruption free society and higher authority is also accessible for a common man.

NOW, PANTRY CAR MANAGER PAYS "INCENTIVE" MONEY FOR BEING ALLOTTED A 'PRIME TRAIN', WHERE THERE ARE LIMITED STOPS ( limited stops, means greater dependence on pantry car..!!.). NOW THE PANTRY CAR MANAGER WOULD LIKE TO RECOVER HIS COST, "ON MONIES" AND PROFIT ON EACH TRIP, HE MAKES. THUS YOU WILL SEE THE TEA/COFFEE VENDOR INSISTING ON CLUBBING AN UNWANTED BISCUIT ALONG WITH COFFEE/TEA (tea/coffee is priced Rs.7/ but the vendor will demand Rs.10/ with the biscuit) - SINCE HE MAKES A PROFIT ON COFFEE QTY AND ALSO MAKES KILLING IN THE BISCUIT..!!.. THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD SERVED IS PATHETIC AND THE IRCTC STAFF WOULD EVEN TAKE BACK THE FOOD/TEA SERVED, IF YOUY DEMAND PRICE LIST..!!.. APP BASED FOOD DELIVERIES SELDOM WORK AND DECENT QUALITY FOOD IS NEVER AVAILABLE IN THE RAIL PLATFORMS. HENCE, IT IS OUR "CURSE" THAT WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THESE DEFICIENCIES WHEN WE TRAVEL BY TRAIN. WE CANNOT EXPECT GOVT. TO TAKE ANY REMEDIAL ACTION IN THIS MATTER SINCE "RAIL BABUDOM" IS FULLY INVOLVED IN THIS MESS.!!. more
