The recent order of TRAI has raised the TV viewing charges by almost double. NCF charges of Rs. 153/- including GST are excessive. Earlier in this very price viewers very watching over a 100 channnel for which one has to pay a minimum of Rs 300/. Then there are seversl free channels. As a result 100s of channels are being shown killing the whole cincept of choosing what one wants to view. I suggest the following:
1. NCF SHOULD BE HALVED.
2. THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY FREE CHANNEL. All free channels may BE PRICED JUST 10 PAISE P.M. This will help viwers to select the channels they wish to view

      Do not agree with your petition. Why limit free channels to 100 only, all free channels should be provided when customer is paying NFC. more

      By paying only 10 paise for a channel you ensure that you are not buying garbage. Let there not be any free channel. more

      I have communicated my choice of channels to Dish TV on 17/3/19 and reminded them atleast 30 to 40 times since then. My monthly out go will up by 20 percent and I have agreed for that also. They have chosen on their own what I should see and the customer care do not bother about what I have sent to them. As a share holder written to their MD also last week but of no use..Pl advise me what should I do..? Will TRAI help.?? more

      TV channels are not a primary need... people can survive without it. we need to focus on other issues and not create issues out of non issues. more

      The order is irrational and requires review; we have to more than double the amount to be able to view only some channels now. more

      With the new ruling one does not have to subscribe to all the free channels or at least 100 channels. You are free to select only the channels which you want to watch. For this you have to opt for "Ala Carte Channels" and then select which ever channel you want to watch. you can select only free or only paid or a mix of paid and free channels. Please select only the channels you want to watch. For up to 100 selected channels the NCF fees is Rs. 153 (inclusive of GST) + whatever the paid channels fees you have selected.
      I have created my own ala carte pack and have reduced my monthly fees.

      I agree that NCF fees is very high if one does not want to watch too many channels. It should be charged on per channel basis. NCF is in the hands of the DTH service providers and they have already removed it from their own packs. more

      Yes this is the only way to reduce your monthly fee. But no company is providing this help (to create own pack help) to their customers. more

      I think if govt want that every family has right to select their channel as they want to see. And they want to charge according to that. First they can removed the plan of free channel scheme and after that they provide the facility to select the channels which family want to see and charge should not be more that 50paise/channel. more
