Long pendency of consumer court cases has demoralised the consumers from approaching consumer Court for justice.
Despite the fact that all submissions and counter submission are made within 5-6 months, judges do not arrange argument in time and go on giving dates for years. Some punitive action fir delay by such judges/ court should be there.
Every cases should be positively decided within limit of 6 months
And there should be some authority to whom, complaint can be listed against erring judges.
I fully agree for amending new COPRA Act 2019 by restricting maximum time of SIX months to finalise case in District Commission, as normally judges always try to adjourn cases even on flimsy grounds. Even for evidenced WRONG judgements judges should be punished for which I have a solid case of totally WRONG judgement by South Delhi DF, which was also evidenced by State Commission.
