Reduction in GST Charges (18%) in Child Day Care Centers
Good, reliable, professional child care is a NECESSITY for an urban woman who wants to think of doing any kind of work, as the old support system of parents and relatives is no more available. How can a woman be truly empowered if she is not stress-free about the children she is leaving behind ? Only small-scale home-based creches will be out of GST bracket - which is not always a very reliable option. I strongly appeal to the ministry of Finance to remove GST on child care services , as this should be treated as a "necessity" - or atleast reduce it significantly to reduce the burden on the working woman, who will be eventually forced to bear it if she wants safe, reliable, professional child care for her children. I appeal to all working parents to support this cause.
