Inflated Bills of M.C.G.M. Water Charges.

We had given the complaint for the excess water bill of the above connection no. to M.C.G.M . P North ward 06 Dec'2019. All the above bills dated 22/11/2019. They won't take the meter reading during this period also won't informed us that meter is not working. During our Follow up to the M.C.G.M. office they told us to change the meter & paid the full amount.
They had not make any communication for faulty meter before our complaint letter dated 06/12/19. and send us the Bill for the Bill period 18/03/19 to 18/06/19 Rs.7902/-, 18/06/19 to 18-09-19 Rs.8082/- 18/09/19 to 18/13/19 Rs.8908/-bill dated 22/11/2019 suddenly . Total Excess bill amounted to Rs.41,306/-
They had told that BMC had charged the Penalty for meter not working but the Communication for the same is not made by them.
Accordingly we had changed the Meter on 10-12-2019.

Our Average Bill for the 3 months is approximately Rs.2300/-

Please go through the attachment which is downloaded from the the MCGM Site. It shows the average bill of Rs. 2300/- in the past days. now they had given at adhoc basis.We had paid Rs. 36, 533/- on 06/01/2020 to avoid the penalty & Disconnection of Water. Please refer the below list.

There is no intimation given by the B.M.C for the meter not working. Also they will not taking any meter reading during last 1 Year. it is witnessed above by bill dated 22/11/2019.

We also don't understand the rate at which penalty was charged to us. Please let us know the detail calculation of the Penalty also. I Don't understand the average water charges is Rs. 2, 200/- for per Quarter but the Penalty Charged by M.C.G.M. is Rs. 6, 000/- approximately per quarter. According to Which bye laws or rule they are charging 3 times of normal bill amount as penalty despite the mistake is totally done by M.C.G.M.
The Penalty Charged by M.C.G.M. is approx. 300% of average bill for the quarter despite the non reading of meter
& no intimation for the faulty meter by the M.C.G.M.
Therefore request you to Refund the Bill paid by us to avoid water disconnection.
