With the intervention of TRAI, mobile telephony charges across India have fallen drastically,bmaking it easy for common man and business people to communicate easily at substantially reduced cost. It also means that the operators had charged exorbitantly earlier. Similar is the case with another major area of DTH service. Unless the regulator step in the operators are likely to flee the customers. It is imperative to customers to unite and demand reasonable changes and removal of confusing presentation of the DTH service prioviders.
Individual consumers can save huge amount of their hard earned money.

      My recommendation is that if original base pack channels are dropped by the DTH operator, they either reduce the price of the pack or give additional channels. I spoke to Tata Sky about this on Monday, and as was expected, the customer care representative said that it couldn’t be done, “we can’t add any channels nor can we reduce prices”. But, they can always add prices!
      The best option is that we pay per channel. No DTH operator should have the right to create packs of their own choice and force them on us. This is defeating the purpose of our choice as consumers. more

      The DTH charges are really exorbitant and the DTH operators charge as per their choice. One has to pay about minimum Rs.450 to watch normal cahnnels excepting sports and all English channels. Tata Sky even blocks the National Channel also if you have not subscribed to the sports channel and the particular sports is being telecast live at National Channel. How they dare blocking the National Channel is beyond imagination.
      There must be some regulatory body to regulate DTH and services. more

      DEAR SIR , DTH SERVICE IS GOOD ONLY FOR THE COMPANY & NOT FOR COSTUMERS .THE BUNDLING OF CHANNELS AS PACKAGES & IN DISGUISE TO ACCEPT IT WITH NO ALTERNATIVE FOR US IS VERY BAD. THE REGULATOR NEEDS TO STEP IN . more

      Many a times they take us for a ride?A couple of times when I had gone out of city on vacation I found the connection disconnected during my absence, though I had paid during my absence also.There is a need for the authorities to intervene and protect consumer right. more
