My Complaint No.: 124925
We sold the above car through them on 18/03/2017 and they gave us the delivery note which is in our possession.
They told us that their manner of operating was through auctions and promised us that the car would be sold within 45 days and they would deliver to us the RC Copy of the buyer as well as Insurance certificate.
However a period of nearly 16 months has passed and we have not received the required documents despite making innumerable telephone calls.
They only have a helpline and their number which was 1800112233 was changed to 18002585656 and I have had innumerable conversations with their representatives and supervisors namely-Aakash, Nikhil, Vijay Kumar, Vishaka, Gaurav, Shafat, Ankita etc several times with each of them and their standard reply has been that their team is working on my request and within 24 and 48 hours they shall revert by email!
Their area office which was on Dr A B Road was shifted to Worli Naka and has shifted again with the new address has not yet been posted on their web site.
Their local manager at Dr Annie Besant road office Mr Ahmed had once emailed a document with the Aadhar Card of the buyer with his photograph which my agent said was not an RC Copy. Another time they had posted a copy of our car’s RC Copy and not the buyers!
I have pleaded with them to secure the Buyer’s RC and Insurance policy copies but they have not done so and they offer no reason for the 16 months delay except that their team is working on it and will revert in 24 to 48 hours!
It is hard to believe that a company which spends so much on advertising fails to respond to our pleadings.

It will be better if you file a complaint with Consumer Forum or directly send a legal notice through your attorney. Then they will realize their mistake and clear your dues. more

It is my humble submission that this is an issue of national importance and irrespective of the number of concerned citizens supporting it it should go forward in the larger national interest.

As i pointed out this is a situation that we must avoid at all costs; however we have been caught unaware by the Hon'ble Supreme Court's judgement and we must therefore collectively approach the authorities to redress our grievances.
I am really amazed at the continued silence of cars 24 despite several appeals to them but their equally polite response has been that their team is working on providing me with the RC and Insurance copies of the buyer and they shall revert within 24 and 48 hours!
I hope and pray you do not ever face such an agonising situation.
I once again appeal to you to support the petition in our and our children's interests so that all of remain protected.
The RTO authorities will provide a solution.

Ladies ans Gentlemen,
we may change our cars a couple of times or may be more in our life time but our children frequently change cars virtually at the drop of a hat.
As parents it is our duty to protect them from litigation in which the buyer of our car is involved.
How do we do it? BY ENSURING THAT WE GET THE RC CERTIFICATE COPY SHOWING THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO TO THE BUYER.
We are then safe.
THE SC judgment passes the onus on the owner of the car.
All of you have the power to protect yourselves and your children; i therefore request you to please sign this petition.
