Yes, I agree , but , just to mention , Thane is very near from Mumbai .....But very far from the fact that It is a managed city.

The approvals for new Residential and Commercial project are being given without thinking of the increased liability of livelihood required like Water , Electricity, Roads, Garbage management, Drainage etc. Thane MC ( TMC ) is unable to take load of Garbage and traffic. Every day we see new project are being launched. There are everywhere NO PARKING boards displayed in all corner of the city.

When , you go to a Bank or a shop or any commercial place, where to park the vehicle? This should be thought by TMC before giving any approvals for new projects in which , parking should be mandatory.

But, I think , this all is never comes in mind of Town Planners as all is played under the Table or influences.

The Garbage collection by TMC is far from satisfactory level. Please see the garbage's at Road and any one can tell the efficiency of TMC.

Thane Municipal corporation is rising to the needs & deployed Garbage collecting truck with enclosed hydraulically operated dumps. However thane residents need to cooperate more to insure that domestic waste generated are segregated at their end. Waste bins are covered & use of waste bags. Commercial establishments are still way behind as most of the restaurants are having open waste bins, throw waste in the back yards & do not exhibit any responsible behavior. Hawkers are the worst & most indiscipline lot . they throw their waste on roads. Municipal corporation along with local circles must take education of these people with road shows & community meetings. Encourage watch group formation & panelize defaulters. Even persons who put stickers on public places.
