The Swach supervisor in the area of koregaon park is an extortion goon.. The ladies from swach who come to pick garbage often complain that he extorts money from them but they cannot complain officially for fear of their jobs. The supervisor often decides in the middle of the month to increase rates and then stops having garbage collected at his whim holding societies to ransom. One society decided to fight back by hiring another garbage collector who was an ex swach employee but the poor lady was threatened and intimidated by the supervisor and had to stop her work. Something needs to be done about such corrupt persons.

PMC has removed Garbage Containers, so Public throws Garbage all over. People Spit but no action is taken. PMC Discharges Sewage into Nala, which leads to Mulla/Mutha River, Industry is fined by MPCB but no action on PMC. PMC staff after sweeping the Road throw Garbage into Yerwada Jail Compound. Valve on Main Water Pipe line is opened by Public but no action by PMC to stop this.

PMC employs staff to clean Roads. Some of these work in Pairs, one sweeps 3-4' from Kerb of the Road and other collects and Dump Garbage into Yerwada Jail compound, as PMC has removed all Garbage Containers. They employee Broom, which collects only Paper & Plastics. Small stones and mud remains there on the Road. They will only sweep 3-4' of Tarred portion of the Road. In front of my House PMC has left 10' without Tarring or making Footpath, this is not Cleaned, although portion in front of Entrance was Tarred but the person who comes to Clean the Road leaves it dirty.

UNLESS PMC HAS PROPER WASTE TREATMENT PLANT , IT IS SKIRMISH TO EXPECT PMC TO FUNCTION ON COLLECTION OF WASTE PROPERLY . CAUSE ALL THEIR DUMPING GROUNDS ARE EXCESSIVELY OVER FLOWING . NONE OF THEIR TREATMENT PLANT IS WORKING SATISFACTORILY FROM DAY ONE OF IT'S INCEPTION. IT IS ALL HAND & GLOW SHOW BETWEEN PMC OFFICERS , CORPORATORS & ALL . TREATMENT PLANT CO. COLLECTS TIPPING FEES , ABOUT RS. 350 - 400 / MT / DAY & PER DAY WASTE COLLECTION IS MORE THAN 1000 MT / DAY . IMAGINE 25 - 30 % OF THIS COLLECTION IS DISTRIBUTED AMONG EACH OTHER . THIS HAS TO STOP , IF PMC TRULY LOOKING TO BECOME " SMART CITY " .

Absolutely indisciplined and limited garbage collection trolleys making all garbage spill on road with huge stinking smell in our area.

The corporation is making efforts as compared to say one year before. However, lot more needs to be done.
