The company seems to be having poor consumer service. The most of the problems being reported are " amount getting debited but not being transferred to merchant or transferee, cash back offered does not get paid, amount not being refunded and above all the complaints are not being responded. One of the complaint as received is quoted
"A transaction of amount rs. 3000 was made from PhonePe app to bank. Unfortunately, transaction failed. The transaction was carried out on 20th November 2017.
Tomorrow i.e. 20th December 2017 will make it one month.
Even after several requests and support desk calls, it seems that it has not yet completed. Now, I am not interested about when you are going to payback my money because the loss I had incurred in month is more than the amount under issue. Your customer support cannot solve the request even by 1 percent.
Now I am fed up with your service and I am preparing to send a legal Notice against PhonePe for fraud with customers and purposely holding the customer's money.
I am not interested in your apologies. I just want my money back along with compensation for my losses or else face the lawsuit."
"As i was paying my electricity bill through phone pay on 05-12-2017, then i got sms as transaction is failed but amount of bill 2240 is deducted from my bank account. Since that day i am trying to contact them but even my call didn't got transfer to executive and also my money is not refunded.Please help in this scenario."
"I have made attached 2 transaction of 4305 and 900 INR for my HDFC credit card payment on 20-Nov but payment has not credited to my HDFC card till today (12-Dec). I have contacted HDFC and they have confirmed they have not received any payment from PhonePe & HDFC email i have forwarded to Phonepe but they are replying after regular reminders.It was a pathetic experience and Phonepe don't have any respect for their customers.Tried to contact them over the email but there is no response from them."
