Nagpur Muncipal Corporation, is worst in stray animal management.
Name the animal Cow, Pigs, Dogs you will find them on all the roads, no efforts to catch them.
Only they are interested in projects above thousand crores.
Basic duties of Muncipal Corporation are roads, lighting, water supply, collection of tax. They are interested if project is in crores of Rs.

Due to eating joints & wine shop in the market, it is a home for many dogs as they get non veg from the customers eat sitting in cars. Not only this, the liquor bottles & plates are also thrown in the parking area that makes the surroundings unbearable.

No action is being taken by the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to control the Stray Dogs. People find it difficult to walk on the streets. Particularly, the old, women and children find it difficult. Stray dogs go about in large groups ranging from 10 to 15 at a time and is posing great risk to the pedestrians and at times to those riding two wheelers also.

NOthing is being done in this regard. Teh NMC is happy to outsource the management to animal activists whose record is suspect. There are no quality pounds to keep the animals cought, neither is there a mechanism to inform the owners if theiir pets are by mistake impounded and nor is there any provision for adoption of strays. Dog licences are issued at atrocious costs with absolutely third rate tags and no service is provided to those who obtain the same.
