The BMC is not at all able to control the growing numbers of hawkers on the street. Open fire cooking, lack of garbage bins, no laws regarding use of water or urinals - all this makes street food unhygienic and a threat to general health. We have to create hawking zones so that they are not spread out everywhere and allow at least some areas to stay clean. In Sunder Nagar Malad, there are shops outside Corporate Corner. Open sale of food items, washing of vessels on the street, throwing of rubbish under steps is creating a health hazard in an area that was previously clean and aesthetic.
B ward ke hawkers hatakar batao. mohammed ali road pe hai. pydhonie.nakhuda mohalla.bhendi bazar yaha se hawker nahi hata sakti hai BMC.Strict action lete bhi hai to shaam ko fir lagadete hai.
The C ward in Mumbai is literally, teeming with illegal hawkers. They have virtually taken over all the pavements and in many places also encroached upon the road This is especially true for the Null Bazaar/ Bhindi Bazaar areas.
