ii)new sky scrapper buildings plans are compromised and passed/cleared without due regard to the basic fire safely planning and provisions around the towers.This is a starting of the death traps
iii)regular and strict checks on the functioning of the fire protection systems and records of the fire drills non existant from the fire dept
iv)proper proactive training,disaster management teams etc for the large establishments,the large and tall towers not insisted upon
v) restaurants, malls, cinema houses,Hospitals,Hotels related special and focussed fire dept cells required in the wards
vi) response time improvement related gearing up necessary, mini and micro fire engines and well equipped ambulances(with oxygen provision etc) necessary

A lot needs to be done. In my opinion, there should be accountability at each level, least political interference in the working of officials, weeding out the corrupt. This will help in a great way.

I am afraid Fire service approval for higher up apartments as well as enough space for vehicle movements are literally absent for obvious reasons. There is plenty of room for improvement. Our Municipal mayors visits lots of countries to vouch for these functions. Unfortunately we cannot see many changes since ages and is the old systems still in place.
