Before assigning any rating let me try to lay down the KEY PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS of a CM.
1.Brand Ambassador of State.
2.Governance ,law and order.
3.Infrastructure development ,roads,flyovers,bridges, cities in a timebound manner.
4.Framing policies towards resource mobilization (land availability ,labour laws, trade union laws) and ease of doing business.
5 .Hard decisions for revenue generation-ie removal of subsidies and freebies.
6.Secular , apolitical, efficient Government machinery.
7 Quality hiring in healthcare and education .
8 Streamline transportation ,complete metro rail projects,. Encourage e-vehicles (e-ricks in place of LPG ricks).
9.Encourage corporate farming (eg Reliance) and Corporate procurement (e-choupal of ITC) for revolutionizing agriculture in Bengal.
10.Encourage trade and commerce,improve logistics and storage.

How does our CM rate on the above counts?

The trust deficit after departure of Tata is affecting Bengal. Industrialist may sit with her but not trusting her control on negative politics and unruly workers. It is also believed some of the local business houses are giving negative feed back to protect their own interest as they believe professional houses entry will result into raise in salary level, better prospect for new generation not less talented than other states and eliminate their exploitation that is seen in the level of meagre salary and perks. Our CM should personally speak to Tata for the sake of state ignoring any ego or ill advice in the interest of people who are looking at her with hope. Her sincerity is still accepted and will work wonder. such personal approach will change the scenario. But can not leave such effort on the part of her inefficient ministers.

I have seen two previous elderly CMs of WB in my lifetime before Ms Mamata Banerjee. I have seen her bubling with energy. Positive energy. So much of development she dreamt off and now is executing with zeal and detrrmination. I believe to provide a developed Bangla for my children with economic independence, health care and values with this amazing leader of my time.

Development has taken a hit in West Bengal. Didi could have done a lot more. Tata moving away was a setback. Hope sense prevails.
