I have been using Make My Trip services for over 5 years now.
They are good but their deals, many of them, are FAKE.
Their grievances services are virtually NIL.
As per normal I have had problems with them & just the once they have given my money back, otherwise they wait for certain period, during which they don't attend calls/emails and even falsely claim that they tried calling back but their call wasn't answered.
If that happens, even after calling them & sending e-mails, to correct that but no reply is given.
Once that period is over, they simply refuse the claims made for wrongful deductions or charges levied.
They have done that with me 2-3 times, recent one being in July 2015, when they refused to return Rs.15,000/- for a computer error, where my flight was booked for 9th of July 15, return for 12th July 15, hotel in Mysore was booked for the same period. But to my astonishment my hotel booking was done for 9th July 15 to 12th July 15 but flights were booked for 12th July 15 & return for 15th July 15.
I immediately called up MMT helpline. They simply refused to acknowledge & told me that it will be corrected only after 72 hours. I told that I am flying in the morning, supposed hotel check in happens tomorrow but where is my flight?
There was a window, during which they could have corrected this mistake, computer or human and simply changed the flight dates to desired days, as hotel booking was correct.
But they chose to keep that money, of a regular customer and refused to accept responsibility for a simple error.
I was asked to rebook my flight & hotel, as hotel policy was also stating no-refund for no-show, which happened automatically, since the flights were booked for other dates.
I had to rebook both air-tickets & hotel stay, which was done for a higher amount, as our plans changed due to this mix up.
Previously they had booked my air-ticket, with advance amount, which was forced upon me, a month in advance, as the executive told that the prices will be hiked soon. The prices dropped down by over Rs.1000/- per ticket and my request for refund of Rs.6k-7k went unheeded, as they again resorted to not attending calls & false messages about missed calls. Eventually they closed the case without giving any reason or refund.
So you are okay with them, till no mistake is committed, by you or their computer, if that happens, say good-bye to your money, as they have no intention, whatsoever, to return/refund your money, if its wrongly debited from your account.
Their fake discounts, deals and fake service charges and convienance charges are also there to boost their incomes, on top of wrongful debits, which never see the light of the day, if they are done. Careful in dealing with them, can't give them less than Zero stars, else I would.
