Howrah (HWH)

Control over movement of trains to & from Howrah is worst to the best of knowledge & belief. Even if the platforms are unoccupied the incoming trains are detained outside for no reason. I have travelled by Barbil Jansatbdi express to Howrah so many times but to my utter surprise the train runs in time or late by 5 to 10 minutes up to Santragachi Jn but it gets delayed entering Howrah station by even more then 60 minutes.

HOWRAH BEING THE GATEWAY TO EAST AND NORTH EAST INDIA - WHAT I FEEL THAT THE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS ARE PRACTICALLY NIL AND I FEEL UNABLE TO FACE ANY SITUATION LIKE 26/11OF MUMBAI VT STATION - THE RPF FORCES ARE DELPOYED BUT MORE BUSY IN SELF INTERESTS - AS A SENIOR CITIZEN OF KOLKATA AND REGULAR USER OF HOWRAH STATION THIS ASPECT BE CONSIDERED IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT LOSS OF TIME

More sitting arrangement for the passengers, good waiting rooms for the passengers, plenty of good drinking water, payee toilets in all platforms, more beds in yatriniwas, more mobile phone recharge points, availability of mobile recharge coupon in the rly platform shops & more cleanness in the platform is required.

Require much more improvement on safety and cleanliness.

Corrupt GRP's bent upon harassing hapless passengers with extortion,a brigand of mafia coolies, a den of vagabonds and drug addicts...that's Howrah station. Needs very serious effort to clear the mess.
