Garbage collection in Ghaziabad!!!
Ye kis chidiya ka naam hai. missing for last 47 yrs since I m residing in sahibabad. Worst I have seen in atleast 19-20 municipal corporation in northern India.

Garbage Collection Service!! ..Sounds good. Where is it? In Shakti Khand 3, Indirapuram, we are paying to a private contractor to pick up from home.

I have not seen any garbage collection in Vasundhara area

There is no garbage collection done in Sahibabad GT ROAD. Private contractor charges rs 60 per month for collection and that too is not regular. Ghaziabad Municipality is not at all seen in this area.

Though collection of garbage at Indirapuram is done by private contractors from the door step, there is no segregation of wet, dry, sanitary garbage by residents nor is it encouraged. The mixed garbage is kept in plastic bags by residents , which is collected by the private contractor every day but at irregular timings. Most of the time the private contractor segregates only the plastic bags from the garbage and throws the rest of the garbage into the open drains outside the building or garbage dumps on the road. The sanitation staff from the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation are seen once in a while sweeping the roads and throwing the garbage into the open drains or leaving it in the corners of the road. Again the garbage collection vans come once in a while and lift the garbage but not regularly every day.

There is quite a lot of improvements in Ghaziabad, especially Indirapuram. The roads and cycle tracks are swept daily and garbage collected regularly. The encroachments on roads and common areas in front of markets have been removed.Still a lot requires to be done like many of the open drains are not covered and have not been cleaned.illegal parking of vehicles on roadside and in front of markets are not checked. On the whole a good job but it has to be maintained in future also .
