E -bay is not to be a trusted e commerce site.
Their guarantee schemes are an eye wash, they do not provide any guarantee to the customer. I caution all buyer be beware about mall practices done by eBay in the name of paisa guarantee.
All re-boxed items are a fraud. There is no guarantee for price and quality.

Overall no. 2 after Amazon. The overall experience is quite good. One has to be careful about the quality of the products and vendors to avoid a bad experience - eBay guarantees very little. Their customer support is very unreachable / unhelpful if God forbid, you have an issue to resolve.

Unlike other E-commerce sites they can not be trusted much for quality for both the products and services. Must be very hard for any one who has ever got an issue resolved satisfactorily. Many of the sellers sell used/old products on this site which buyers pay for thinking it as a brand new one. They do not mention the product is an used/refurbished one on the display picture of the product on the front screen in case of a product which is an used/refurbished. Buyers are easily trapped by buying a product as they pay the price of a new one which they later realise it as an used /refurbished one after getting the product. Here once ordered, there is no scope of cancellation if you feel that you have ordered for a wrong one whether for price/quality/trust or any other reason. Here you do not get much support from Ebay and mostly you have to deal with the seller directly. E-commerce business mostly operates on trust as you do not physically deal with the seller. My experience with this site is horrible.
