The earlier two ratings of the LC participants and my personal are not encouraging for me to rate any better. It all depends upon how outright and upright are the officers from Indian Administrative Service manning the Ministry and the Departments could draw strength from their administrative rules and regulations and terms of appointment to remain neutral when it comes to dealing with the political bosses - tell them on face that "you" are wrong and misleading the citizens. The Department of Consumer Affairs at the Centre and the States have been rather ruined by the Bhakt Baboos turning out the weakest of the consumers in the country. It also depends upon the sycophant Principal Secretary at the Centre who does not inform the PM that in his efforts to introduce extreme capitalist economy and illegally amend the Acts like The Finance Act 2015 and introducing the National Anti-profiteering Authority for diverting against the law the personal money of consumers for his personal glory. The best would have been if the nationalist bureaucrats had resigned in protest against the extreme capitalism. Let it be known to the political bosses that the personal money of consumers is not the public money for the political leadership to divert to meet with their own goals. For me the rating is not of the Department but of the bosses heading it, and that is zero.
Can't make online giants accountable, Amazon etc don't disclose address even email IDs and donot offer grievance redress system, so cheated customers can get no relief at all. Ministry lies idle.
My suffering: Amazon has deceived me by denying its widely publicized promise, Bonus Offer :10% Extra cashback for prepaid order over Rs 6000 only on 10.10.18 during Great Indian Festival.
Going through full page ads in several newspapers & and reading the hidden full terms and conditions in website I bought one mobile Samsung On7 Pro worth Rs 6790. ( Order # 406-4274614-3083531) but never get assured cashback- Rs 679.00 though I fulfilled all criteria. Several emails to Amazon bore no result. Twice through Chat I was informed that there was a problem and I would get cashback soon- all futile.
In 3rd chat today 19.10.18 , I am told that conditions tell that (inter alia) all Samsung mobiles are excluded from Bonus 10% cashback!! It is simply a lie, a cheating attempt as even the hidden T&C read thus (under head) : List of excluded products and product categories >>……Samsung Mobile Phones except for………… Samsung On7 Pro. .SoSamsung On7 Pro is eligible for 10% Bonus cashback but Amazon is denying 10% extra cashback for 6 weeks.
Strangely Amazon nowhere discloses its contact details and its its chat-staffs donot inform its address!
I request Consumer Affairs Ministry to take stern steps against Amazon to stop its desperate harassment & cheating customer .
Bare minimum being done by this entity to maintain their job. Nothing useful has been done in regulating the mushrooming online shopping portals in India. These portals, such as are ripping off consumers, claim immunity from non-fulfilment of services and refuse refunds on undelivered services. We need a RBI portal who will hold the consumer's money as an Escrow and pay the money to the portal only after delivery of the services. Over Rs. 50 crores per day is being taken in by such companies based in Ghaziabad after duping the consumer with false advertising and illegal malpractices.

I have some friends who are living out of India, we talk over phone at times.

Today also we had a conversation on 'Products and Responsibility' of Govt. of the Country.

As we all know that any manufacturer or service provider gives the best product to Foreign countries hierarchically and then the worst is being given to India and other less aware countries.

There are some agreements, pacts which gives powers to the Govt. to take an appropriate with honesty.

Likewise here in India, there are still some Capitalists who run their business as a Monopoly like Magic Bricks who recently hiked 64% of their service charges from 22500(appx) to 37000(appx. for the same product) in this submerged Real Estate Market scenario.

Govt. has to make some norms that ensures to stop an extreme hike in the absence of competition.
