BSNL

Response and connectivity of BSNL in RT Nagar is good. They need to match packages as offered by the other Pvt sector operators. Having pumped in so much of the tax payers money for infrastructure over these years , they need to drive performance. The only solution to further improve is to fix clear goals and exert pressure on performance at all levels with tough action to take corrective measures for non performance. PSU service rules are a combination of ills of the Govt and Pvt Sector. They were devised during the grand old Nehruvian era and Are archaic and needs a complete revamp in light of the present day scenario. They have a great latent potential which needs to be tapped and are sleeping giants waiting to be woken up.

Hope this initiative will be taken up by the present Govt unlike the previous regime which for reasons best known to the public, did not address the issues and PSU's fell sick slowly and steadily.

BSNL should upgrade them selves to be TECHNIACALLY AND COMMERCIALLY COMPETETIVE. No doubt, the organization should be making revenue surplus over the expenditure. Even if they incurr, marginal loss, government should bear it. BSNL is indirectly regulating the tariff. If no BSNL, private telecom players will form cartel and exploit by raising the tariff rates, introduce many hidden charges etc. BSNL should exhist.

BSNL is not yet ready to face the tough competition going on in the telecom sector. It is high time, the government should wind up BSNLTeleServices before they incur huge loss due to their poor management.

BSNL is emerging again. There is lack of infrastructure but new technology is introduced. BSNL has having large bandwidth of OFC network and lot of expectations are still awaited.
