BSNL

Dear Bhaskar, this is an all India problem, Every festival the problems are created by the stafff for tips. Same with Electricity, Municipalities' services etc. our great culture is such.

It seems service by BSNL is not uniform at all centres. I am using their landline and broadband services for over a decade at Tiruchirapalli (Srirangam to be precise) and find the service quite good. I tried Tata telecom, Reliance etc. earlier but BSNL seems best for me. But my daughter and son and Chennai and Hyderabad say BSNL is not at all good in their cities. BSNL should do something to remove this image.

I use BSNL broadband for landline and broadband connectivity and is far below our expectations. Nowadays the inflated billing is also getting into the BSNL system . Their UG cables laid in Chennai near to our Locality in Perungudi is gone when the JCB machines started digging the roads for storm water drainage! Now they use the neighbours house terminations for extending the High speed internet connections ! No body at the Technician level is an expert to attend to BB problems faced and nobody turns up home to attend to these unless we escalate to the CSCs with personal visits and beg for their service

BSNL was collecting Rs 5000/- towards security deposit for ISD facility during 2004. It has since been revised to Rs1500/- only . The difference in amount collected amounting to Rs 3500/- should be automatically adjusted in the ensuing monthly bills! This is never done and it is an unfair trade practice . I had surrendered my ISD facility and requested for refund in with a written request about 40 days ago. While they deactivated the ISD the very next day , the refund is never done in spite of my personal visits to the
AO-TR of Adyar Telephone exchange , I still do not know as to what is holding this up! I shot out the mails to the Public grievance cell also and still no acknowledgement from them . Like me many other customers have subscribed for this ISD facility and the BSNL is sitting on this borrowed funds . Why is that this is not audited in the Accounts of BSNL.

i had contacted for 2GB and due to bad connectivity got only 600 MB.....but they had charged for 2 GB

in my other bsnl no which is a 3G one internet never comes. if i send START to 1925, it says internet is already there in your number.
