Residents should put pressure on the Corporators and Legislators to ensure as many toilets as possible from their resource and sponsors from the society inclusive of shops and showrooms. Water/recycled water ( as suggested by Wg Cdr Thomas) source should be set up first and the construction should be taken up.
We need public toilets or at least every 100 meters close to street junctions. It is a shame that even simple urinals cannot be set up for a city like Bangalore. The pay per use toilets are successful at several places. This will be a Blessing particularly for women who are prone to Urinary Tract Infection. (UTI) because of controlling. Water too should not be a problem as there are very few takers for the RECYCLED water. Sintex Tanks mounted at about 6 feet height should be able to store recycled water delivered at specified timings by one Tanker. With the Funds available with Corporators , MLAs and MPs. it should be easily possible. This would also be in tune with Swach Bharath campaign of the Central Govt.
Everywhere Garbage menace, worst cleanliness, earlier years Bangalore city was well known for cleanliness, but year after year becoming worst, roads are bad with huge potholes, everywhere big posters, politicians birth day posters are very common , haphazard parking, everywhere footpaths occupied, people cannot walk on footpaths . Bangalore will loose its olden days charms due to poor B M C administration and action.
